A rally on Driven Life is a drive with a route, a start and an organizer, not a parked meet. Three kinds make the list. Road rallies run by Sports Car Club of America regions are timed navigation events on public roads at legal speeds. Charity rallies turn a drive into a collection, of toys, books or money. Touring rallies are multi-day, often 1,000-mile, events for vintage or exotic cars. The organizations behind them, with their causes and entry rules, are on Car Rallies.
How to read the list
Each entry is one edition, by date, with the start point and the start time the organizer publishes. The time is usually check-in, not the first car off: at Drive the High Country check-in opens at 8:30am and the first car leaves at 10:01am. Most road rallies end somewhere other than where they began, so the page for each edition gives the finish.
How entry works
Entry runs through each organizer; Driven Life links to the organizer’s own entry page and takes no fee. SCCA RoadRally events register on MotorsportReg, and at least one person per car must be an SCCA member, annual or a weekend membership bought at sign-up. Any street-legal, insured car that passes a basic safety check can enter, a team is two people, and many events run a novice class. The South Florida Exotic Car Toy Rally admits only registered entrants. The touring rallies, from the Copperstate 1000 to the Hemmings Great Race, select cars by application, and the 2027 Great Race is already sold out to a wait list.
Are there car rallies near me?
The list above runs nationwide, soonest first, with each start town shown. SCCA road rallies are the most widespread, run by local regions; this winter’s include Santa Clarita, McKinney, Spring Valley in Wisconsin and Hackettstown in New Jersey.
How do charity car rallies work?
The entry fee is the donation. The South Florida Toy Rally asks each participant for at least $200 in new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots, and the Teddy Bear rally in Hackettstown takes a new toy worth $35 or more. The Vintage Rallies tours benefit local charities along each route.
How much does it cost to enter a car rally?
SCCA says its road rallies typically cost under $40 a car; Drive the High Country is $35. Multi-day tours run into the thousands: $9,500 a team for a 2027 Vintage Rallies event, $7,500 a car for a private Great Race entry under its 2026 regulations, and $11,996 for two in the 2027 Copperstate 1000.
