Portland Cars and Coffee meets every Saturday from 8am to 11am in the parking lots of Langer’s Entertainment Center, 21650 SW Langer Farms Parkway, in Sherwood. The organizer’s website puts it plainly: every Saturday, year-round, rain or shine. Its home page adds snow to the list of weather it meets in.
The meet calls itself the original Portland Cars and Coffee. Ground Control volunteers in orange shirts run the lot, and the organizer says the event is open to everyone, “regardless of what they drive or ride.”
When to arrive
The organizer’s 2026 calendar says the gate opens at 8am and closes when the lots are full, around 8:30am. Until then, a 2021 post on the organizer’s blog asks drivers to wait along the curb on SW Century Drive. Spaces go first come, first parked, with no saving spots for friends.
From April to October, each Saturday has a featured theme, from Mustang Day to Right Hand Drive Day. The featured lot holds the first 45 to 60 vehicles that fit the theme, and the calendar suggests getting in line by 7am to make it. Everyone else parks in the other three lots, which hold about 300 spaces. Every car is welcome on every Saturday, whatever the theme.
Winter at Langer’s
The 2026 themed season ended with Trunk or Treat Day on 31 October. The calendar says winter mode follows: the meet keeps running every Saturday morning, and the weekly themes return in spring 2027. A 2022 post on the organizer’s blog describes the winter version as friends gathering with hot drinks around the indoor fireplace at Langer’s, with Ground Control volunteers still on hand.
The lot
The address is Langer’s Entertainment Center, which the organizer also calls Langer’s Fun Center. The entrance is the part to get right. The organizer’s location page says to enter from Tualatin Sherwood Road via SW Century Boulevard, with gate access only from westbound SW Century. There is no entry from SW Langer Farms Parkway or from the roundabout.
The lot is private, and the organizer says it can ask anyone who breaks the rules to leave and not return.
The coffee
The coffee comes from inside Langer’s. A 2021 post on the organizer’s blog says the coffee counter opens at 8am on Saturday mornings, and the 2022 winter post mentions biscuits and gravy by the fireplace. The organizer publishes no fee to attend.
How it started
According to the organizer’s about page, the meet has gathered every Saturday morning since 2008. It began in a small parking lot outside a Starbucks in Jantzen Beach and has moved several times as it grew. The 2026 calendar calls this its 18th year. The organizer describes it as the largest weekly year-round event in the Pacific Northwest.
Before you go
The rules are published, and they are short. No burnouts or revving at or near the meet; the organizer says police are hired to watch the event every Saturday. Park only in marked spaces and keep clear of fire lanes, walkways and garbage areas. Take your trash with you. No cones, flags or reserved spaces, no for-sale signs on cars or parts, and no drones. The winter blog post adds two more: watch your speed, and keep the stereo down.
