Angels on Wheels is the Multnomah Hot Rod Council’s annual toy drive for Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel. The council’s website says the toy delivery caravan leaves “always the second Saturday of December” from the Portland Expo Center parking lot. The date on this page, Saturday 12 December 2026, follows that standing rule. The council has not posted the 2026 date separately, so check its site before you go.

The council is the nonprofit group of car clubs that produces the Portland Roadster Show. The show’s about page describes the toy run this way: each December the automotive community gathers at the Expo Center and caravans to the hospital for the annual toy drop-off.

When to arrive

The council’s site gives two times: meet at 9am, depart at 10am. That leaves an hour in the Expo Center lot before the caravan sets off across the city. The council publishes no finishing time for the drop-off at the hospital.

Where to meet

The meeting point is the parking lot of the Portland Expo Center, 2060 N Marine Drive, off I-5 near the Columbia River. The council’s page names the lot but no particular entrance or section, and it publishes no parking charge for the toy run.

Who runs it

The Multnomah Hot Rod Council was founded in 1954 and is made up of car clubs from northwest Oregon and southwest Washington, per its site. The council lists Angels on Wheels among the causes its member clubs back with volunteers and fundraising, alongside the Ronald McDonald House bear drive, the Children’s Cancer Association and automotive scholarships.

Giving

The council publishes no rules on what toys to bring. The Roadster Show’s about page carries a donation link for Angels on Wheels, and the show’s special events page says visitors to the Roadster Show can also give through donation information and QR codes posted around the show.

Before you go

A caravan to a hospital means slow driving on city streets, in December, with families watching. Keep it quiet and keep it in convoy, and leave the hospital entrances clear for the people who need them.

When is the Angels on Wheels toy run?

On the second Saturday of December, per the Multnomah Hot Rod Council’s standing rule. In 2026 that falls on Saturday 12 December; the council has not posted the 2026 date separately.

What time does it start?

Meet at 9am in the Portland Expo Center parking lot. The caravan departs at 10am.

Where does the caravan go?

To Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel, for the toy drop-off.

Does it cost anything?

The council publishes no fee. Bring a toy, or give through the donation link on the Roadster Show’s site.
