The Fuelfed Open is the club’s loosest morning. Its page: “9:00am -11:00am Forest & Northgate in Downtown Lake Forest,” with three 2026 dates, 12 April, 21 June and “Sunday, November 1 – Featured: Park by Countries (French, German, Italian, Swedish, etc.).” It is the last Fuelfed gathering in Chicagoland in 2026; the Winnetka, Hinsdale and Barrington seasons ended in October.
What it costs
“There is a suggested $20 donation for non-members parking their European classic, modern sports or super cars within the event area.” Spectators pay nothing, as at every Fuelfed morning. The club’s etiquette applies: do not touch the cars, no hot-rodding, no for-sale signs.
Where to park
The event takes Forest Avenue at Northgate in Lake Forest’s Market Square district. Spectators use the downtown’s street parking and the Metra lot a block west. Arrive before 9am if you are parking a car inside; the event area fills by theme.
Why November
Fuelfed’s regular meets are members’ European classics, 2000 and older. The Open admits the modern cars too, which is why the club holds it at the edges of the season, when the garages are being put away. The organizer’s calendar, last updated in August 2026, lists nothing after this date until the 2027 schedule is set over the winter.
When is the Fuelfed Open?
Sunday 1 November 2026, 9am to 11am, at Forest Avenue and Northgate in downtown Lake Forest, per the organizer.
Can a non-member park inside?
Yes, a European classic, modern sports or supercar, for a suggested $20 donation. Spectators are free.
