Fuelfed’s Barrington meet is the one that admits modern European cars alongside the classics. The organizer: “Event parking is for Fuelfed members and their Classic European cars (2000 or older) or Modern European cars. Non-members driving classic European cars (2000 and older) may park within the event with a $20 donation.” The 2026 dates were Sundays 17 May (rides with racks), 16 August (turbos and kids’ sticker day) and 20 September (pre-1980 supercars and classic Volkswagens), “From 9:00-11:00am.” The 2027 dates are not yet published.
The entrance
“S. Grove Ave. and E. Lake St. – Drivers, enter from THE SOUTH ON GROVE AVE. (NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN),” the organizer’s page says in its own capitals. Spectators park on downtown Barrington’s streets and lots and walk in.
The rules
The club’s standard etiquette: no touching or getting into the cars, pets and strollers five feet back, no hot-rodding or open exhausts, no for-sale advertising, no chairs or coolers by the cars. Spectating is free.
How long it has run
A reader comment on the organizer’s page from July 2015 says “We attended the first Barrington event today,” which puts the start that summer; the organizer itself gives no date. Its September 2026 post opened the month’s run: “First up is downtown Barrington with our super car feature.”
