Fuelfed is a private club for classic European cars and motorcycles, founded in 1998 by friends who modified and raced their German cars, and its about page makes a claim that holds up: “In 2010 Fuelfed originated the Sunday morning car show format with its popular Coffee & Classics® gatherings.” The first one drew 24 cars in Winnetka in September 2010. The organizer’s 2026 Winnetka dates ran from 26 April to 25 October, one Sunday a month, “9:00am to 11:00am,” each with a theme: turbos, British classics and microcars, Mercedes and vintage motorcycles, two liters and under, patina and plastic fantastics, Italian classics with the Ferrari Club, and era-appropriate attire with classic BMWs.

Where it was in 2026, and the question for 2027

“Indian Hill Metra lot (at Green Bay Rd & Winnetka Ave.) in Winnetka – NEW LOCATION FOR 2026,” the organizer’s page says, “Due to construction in downtown Winnetka.” The meet had run in the Lincoln Avenue business district for fifteen years before that. Drivers enter at Green Bay Road and Sunset; “All other entrances will be closed.” The organizer’s calendar says “The 2026 calendar will be updated as dates get confirmed over the winter,” and has said nothing yet about whether the Metra lot continues. This page shows the last Sunday of April 2027 until it does.

Members’ cars, free spectators

The display is the club’s: “All Fuelfed Coffee & Classics® events are for current Fuelfed members to display their European classics (2000 & older) are not an open car show, but rather a members’ meeting.” Spectators pay nothing: “There is no fee to attend as a spectator.” A non-member with a classic European car “may park within the event with a $20 donation EXCEPT IN SEPTEMBER,” the Ferrari month. The organizer’s FAQ gives the guest donation as $10; its Winnetka page says $20.

The rules

In the organizer’s words: “Please do not touch or get into the cars.” “Please dismount and walk your bike or boards.” “Please keep pets, strollers, bikes, and boards 5 feet away from the cars to avoid accidental dings/scratches.” “Please respect the neighborhood with NO hot-rodding or open exhausts.” “Advertising cars for sale at any Fuelfed event is strictly prohibited.” Spectators park on the street; “Indian Hill Metra lot will be CLOSED to public parking until 11am.” The organizer’s September 2026 post added that “The Winnetka and Kennilworth police will be out in mass to protect the event and enforce all laws.”

How big it is

The organizer’s September 2026 Ferrari day set “a new record attendance” with “over 75 classic and modern stallions.” Patch described the meet in 2015 as a monthly gathering co-sponsored with the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce “on the last Sunday of every month through October 25.” The club also runs Coffee and Classics in Hinsdale and Barrington and an all-marque Fuelfed Open in Lake Forest, each with its own page here.

When does Fuelfed Coffee and Classics Winnetka run?

One Sunday a month, April through October, 9am to 11am, per the organizer. The 2026 season ended 25 October; the 2027 calendar is published over the winter.

Can a non-member show a car?

Only a classic European car, with a $20 donation per the Winnetka page, and not in September. Spectating is free for everyone.

Where was it in 2026?

The Indian Hill Metra lot at Green Bay Road and Winnetka Avenue, because of construction downtown. Whether it returns there in 2027 is not yet stated.
