Cars and Coffee Atlanta at PERC, East Lake

Cars and Coffee Atlanta is the small one. Its organizer’s Instagram profile gives the schedule in five words: “8am last Sunday of the month.” The spot is “2nd Ave SE & Hosea Williams Dr, Atlanta, 30317, behind @percatlanta,” which is PERC Coffee’s East Lake shop at 2380 Hosea L. Williams Drive NE. For the rest of 2026 that is Sunday 29 November and Sunday 27 December.

When to arrive

8am. The organizer posts no end time; listings put it at 10am. Atlanta Magazine, which profiled the meet in October 2024, described the format as deliberately loose: anyone can come with or without a car, nobody has to buy a coffee, and kids and dogs are welcome. Salisha Fingerhut, who runs it, told the magazine: “It’s very casual. We try to keep it completely unpretentious and welcoming and inclusive.”

Where to park

Behind the coffee shop, in the lot off 2nd Avenue SE. It is a small lot in a neighborhood, so it fills early and the overflow is street parking on residential blocks. Park legally and walk the last stretch.

How it started

Atlanta Magazine tells it: Lane Friedman started the meet in 2020 “as an alternative to larger car gatherings in the suburbs,” and when Friedman moved to Los Angeles in 2021, Fingerhut took it over. Its size, per the magazine, is 50 to 75 cars, and its growth was “really always been word of mouth,” Fingerhut said. One regular, Neil Bedwell, put the point of it this way: “Outside of that, it’s fostered this great community of intown Atlanta car folks.” The earliest dated trace is a Halloween meet on 31 October 2021.

Before you go

Check the organizer’s Instagram the night before; it is the only channel. Buy a coffee from the shop that lends its lot. Expect a neighborhood, not a mall, and drive in like one.
