Cars and Coffee in Atlanta

The standing meets within 45 miles of downtown Atlanta, checked against their organizers: the 2,500-car first Sunday in Kennesaw, the 75-car last Sunday behind a coffee shop in East Lake, the city-run show in Hapeville, and the one afternoon of exotics in November.

Two Sundays at opposite ends

Atlanta’s month opens with the biggest monthly meet in the country and closes with one of the smallest. Caffeine and Octane takes the first Sunday at Town Center at Cobb in Kennesaw, 9am to 11:30am, with gates, assigned lots and a no-exit rule, and a claimed 2,500 cars. Cars and Coffee Atlanta takes the last Sunday behind PERC Coffee in East Lake from 8am, 50 to 75 cars, built in 2020 as the intown alternative to exactly that. Between them, Hapeville’s Coffee and Chrome runs the second Saturday from April through September.

Kennesaw, not Dunwoody

Caffeine and Octane left Perimeter Mall in August 2022. Most listings still carry the old address and the old 8am start. The organizer’s page and the venue’s calendar say Kennesaw, 9am, and this page follows them.

What is not here

The first-Sunday “Worship” meet in Roswell is real and well attended but its only organizer channel is a closed Facebook group, and its sources disagree on the address, the hours and which cars are welcome. Cars and Coffee Avalon and the Alpharetta City Hall meet exist only on directories; Avalon’s own events page lists no car event. They join this page when an organizer’s statement can be read.

Before you drive

For Kennesaw, decide before you leave whether you are staying until 11:30am, because the Central Lot does not let cars out early. For East Lake, remember it is a neighborhood lot behind a coffee shop. For both, the organizers’ noise rules exist because Perimeter Mall’s neighbors once took them to the newspaper.
