Potomac Cars and Coffee is, in its own words, a meet “the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month 9-11am at 19701 Fisher Ave, Poolesville, MD.” The address is Whalen Commons, the green in the middle of Poolesville’s main street, which the Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce lists at 19701 Fisher Avenue. The group’s Instagram account, with just under 5,000 followers, was posting as of 21 October 2026.
The dates
Second and fourth Sundays. For the rest of 2026 that is 8 November, 22 November and 13 December, the dates the Tesla Owners Club of Maryland lists for its own EV sub-meet at the event, and 27 December if the pattern holds through the holidays. The organizer posts a flyer for each date; the September and August 2026 flyers both read 9am to 11am.
When to arrive
9am. The window is two hours, later than most of the region’s Saturday meets, and the town’s restaurants open for lunch afterward. The Tesla club’s members head to Locals Restaurant at 19929 Fisher Avenue when it ends. Nothing on the organizer’s page states a rain policy; the Instagram account is where a cancellation would appear.
Where to park
The cars park on and around the commons. Whalen Commons has four free Level 2 chargers and two DC fast chargers, per the Tesla club, which is part of why the EV crowd made the meet a regular stop. Fisher Avenue is Poolesville’s main street, so keep the storefronts and the crosswalks clear.
Why Potomac, in Poolesville
Two meets became one. A Poolesville meet started in March 2020, per a DC Metro MINIs club thread that tracked it from the first Sunday. In May 2021 the same thread reported that “The Potomac Cars and Coffee got shut down due to people doing dumb things” and that “that event is now combining with the Poolesville Cars and Coffee.” The first combined meet was Sunday 9 May 2021 at 19701 Fisher Avenue, 9am to 11am, which is the schedule it keeps today. The name followed the crowd. One Washington-area listing describes the field as carrying “a heavier share of Potomac exotics, supercars, and high-end builds” than the region’s weekly meets.
Which cars
All of them. The Tesla club’s standing invitation is to “show what EVs are compared to other ICE vehicles that show up,” which tells you the mix: electric alongside everything else. The organizer publishes no house rules; the 2021 shutdown of the Potomac meet is the reason to behave as if it did.
