Cars and Coffee at Dulles Landing, South Riding

Cars and Coffee at Dulles Landing meets every Sunday from 7am to 9am outside the Dunkin’ at 24560 Dulles Landing Drive, in the shopping center at Route 50 and Loudoun County Parkway. The meet’s own Instagram account and its Facebook group both give those hours, and it has met at the same Dunkin’ since 2015.

The organizer calls the place South Riding. Dunkin’ gives its mailing address as Dulles, and listings over the years have filed the meet under Arcola and Sterling as well. They all mean the same lot.

Sunday, not Saturday

Several event listings put this meet on Saturdays from 8am to 11am. Two of them give the address of East Gate Marketplace, a different shopping center nearby, and the MG Car Club Washington DC Centre calendar carries the same Saturday hours.

The meet’s own channels say Sunday, from 7am to 9am, and so does a 2026 regional car show calendar that carries the organizer’s own phone number. If a listing says Saturday, go by the meet’s Instagram account instead.

When to get there

The window is two hours, and the organizer publishes no season and no weather policy. The meet’s account simply says every Sunday. On a doubtful morning, check Instagram before the drive.

The coffee is on long before the cars arrive. Dunkin’s own store listing gives its hours as 5am to 8pm every day, and it lists no drive-through.

A Facebook event the organizer posted for July 12, 2015, promised free coffee. A 2017 listing spelled the offer out as a free medium coffee, hot or cold, for each car’s driver. Nothing current from the organizer says the offer still stands, so bring a few dollars.

Where to park

Dulles Landing is a working shopping center, with Walmart Supercenter among its tenants alongside Chipotle, Dosa Grill and Kung Fu Tea, so on a Sunday morning the cars share the lot with shoppers. The meet’s Facebook group describes it as approved by the center’s property management.

That approval is worth protecting. Park in marked spaces, keep the lanes clear for people heading into the stores, and leave at shopping center speed. A meet the landlord has said yes to is one bad departure away from a meet the landlord says no to.

How it started

Eric Jacobs started the meet in 2015 at the South Riding Dunkin’, inspired in part by his 1968 Camaro, Loudoun Now reported in 2018. Facebook dates the meet’s page to June 23, 2015, and its group to the following day.

The meet is almost exactly as old as the shopping center. Beatty Companies’ 2026 leasing flyer says the center’s first phase opened in May 2015, and the Loudoun Times-Mirror reported an official opening date that September, with Dunkin’ among the first tenants.

“Our cars and coffee opened up as something for people who love cars to go see other people’s projects, and it actually turned into an opportunity to do great things for organizations,” Jacobs told Loudoun Now. “It spring-boarded into something bigger.”

By September 2026 the meet’s Facebook group had more than 14,000 members and its Instagram account about 6,200 followers. No source publishes a count of cars on a typical Sunday.

The Camaro and the foundation

The group soon began holding benefit events for nonprofits. In 2017, after his mother Theresa died, Jacobs launched the Theresa Sondra Jacobs Foundation in her honor, with a Star Wars Rides program that brings themed vehicles and costumed characters to events for children and adults with cancer, serious illness or disabilities, and for disadvantaged young people.

The Camaro went with it. By 2018 Jacobs had turned the 1968 car into an earthbound version of an X1 TIE fighter and a Hummer H1 into a rolling Death Star, complete with a turbo laser, smoke and sound effects. That year Loudoun Now noted that he showed up to the 7am meet every Sunday, usually in the black Camaro.

The foundation was still at it in 2026. WTOP reported in March that it brings a working R2-D2, a Death Star Hummer and a Mandalorian-inspired mobile lab to classrooms, parades and auto shows, to teach children science, technology, engineering, art and math.

Everything with wheels

Jacobs told Loudoun Now in 2018 that his group was open to anyone with something to bring to a car show, from Model Ts to the latest supercars. “Everything with wheels and a steering wheel,” he said, “gas, diesel, even electric.”

The organizer’s flyer lists the range the same way: antiques, supercars, hot rods, American muscle, imports, classics, off-road and sports cars.
