Drive for Dana Cars and Coffee, Smith Haven Mall

Drive for Dana Cars and Coffee meets on Sunday mornings at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, on Long Island’s North Shore. The organizer’s website says “Cars & Coffee. Every Sunday,” and its Facebook page gives the hours as 8am to 11am.

The host is the Drive for Dana Foundation, a Long Island charity that, in its own words on Facebook, is “dedicated to helping Medically Fragile Long Island Children and their recovery efforts.” Its website says the foundation grew out of a car show that became a fundraiser.

When to arrive

The organizer’s flyer for November and early December gives Sundays from 8am to 11am. It publishes no early-arrival pattern.

The holiday drive

From 1 November to 6 December 2026, the meet doubles as a collection point. A flyer posted by the foundation on 27 October says it is collecting food for Thanksgiving and toys for Toys for Tots on Sundays from 8am to 11am at the cars and coffee. The flyer names the Fabulous 50’s and 60’s Nostalgia Car Club of Long Island as a co-sponsor of the drive.

Where to park

The organizer names Smith Haven Mall but publishes no map or entrance for the meet. Look for the group of show cars in the mall lot and park with them, not in front of store entrances. The mall’s stores open after the meet starts, so keep the drive lanes clear for shoppers and staff.
