How the week runs
Around New York the standing meets are on Sunday mornings, and they sit in the suburbs, not the five boroughs. North of the city, Westchester Cars and Coffee fills 7 John Walsh Boulevard in Peekskill from 8am to 10am every Sunday. Out on Long Island, the Drive for Dana Foundation runs cars and coffee at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, from 8am to 11am on its current flyer. Across the Connecticut line, Cars and Coffee Darien meets once a month at Goodwives Shopping Center, usually on the second Sunday.
The season
Winter thins the calendar. Peekskill and Lake Grove have both published Sunday dates into November 2026, and both are running holiday drives: Peekskill a Thanksgiving food drive on 15 November, Lake Grove a food and Toys for Tots collection every Sunday to 6 December. Neither has announced a winter break, but Peekskill’s past seasons have opened in March, so check before a cold drive. Darien runs April to November and closes its 2026 season with the Cannonball Run Reunion on Saturday 14 November.
Caffeine and Carburetors in New Canaan is between seasons. Its 2026 dates were in June and October, the October show at Waveny Park was cancelled for field conditions, and the 2027 date is not published yet.
What is held back, and why
Several meets that directories list for the city and Long Island could not be checked against a current organizer post. NYCars and Coffee says it meets every Sunday from 9am to noon at a location that changes each week, and its events page still describes a past season at Floyd Bennett Field. Cars and Coffee Long Island, at the Oceanside LIRR lot, calls itself a monthly summer meetup, and its newest readable organizer post is from 2022. The Captree State Park meet in Babylon, the Kohl’s lot meet in Yonkers and a Pleasantville listing appear only in directories. Manhasset Cars and Coffee gives Sundays at Macy’s on Northern Boulevard “during car season” without saying when that season runs. Greenwich Cars and Coffee and Cars and Coffee Rye Brook post dates one at a time and have no upcoming date out. Each joins this page once its organizer confirms a schedule.
Before you drive
Peekskill publishes three rules: no speeding to and from the meet, no aggressive driving in or out, no excessive revving. Darien goes further: police are on site, and anyone showing off speed or exhaust noise is banned as an exhibitor. Darien is ticketed, with a $5 spectator fee at the reunion. Peekskill says it is always free. Every lot here belongs to a business or a mall, so arrive quietly and leave slowly.
Is there cars and coffee in New York City?
Not a verified standing one right now. NYCars and Coffee lists Sundays from 9am to noon at a location that changes weekly, but no current schedule could be confirmed. The nearest checked meets are in Peekskill, Lake Grove and Darien.
Is there cars and coffee on Long Island in November?
Yes. Drive for Dana Cars and Coffee at Smith Haven Mall lists Sundays from 8am to 11am through 6 December 2026, and its website says it runs every Sunday.
