Cars and Coffee at The Haven, Belle Haven

The Haven is Belle Haven Pizzeria’s own name for itself, a restaurant at 1401 Belle Haven Road just off the George Washington Parkway south of Old Town Alexandria. Twice a month on a Saturday, the parking lot beside it holds a car meet. The organizer is the Alexandria Cars and Coffee group, the same people who run the Sunday meet at Hollin Hall, and the Meetup event is titled “Cars & Coffee at The Haven.”

The group’s listed 2026 dates fall on the second and fourth Saturdays: 10 October, 24 October and 14 November, each 10am to 12pm. The next one on the calendar as of late October is Saturday 14 November.

Saturday, not Sunday

Some local guides list this meet on Sundays. The group’s own events, in 2022 and again in 2026, are Saturdays, and The Zebra reported it the same way in April 2022: “Every two weeks on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon.” If the day matters to your plans, the Meetup event is the record.

When to arrive

10am is a civilized start by cars and coffee standards. The window is two hours, and the restaurant opens for lunch as the meet ends, so the lot turns over. The Fairfax Girl’s 2025 guide places the cars in “the parking lot to the left of the restaurant” and says the meet is canceled when it rains. The group’s event pages do not state a weather rule, so check Meetup on a wet morning.

Where to park

The lot is the restaurant’s. Park in a marked space, keep the entrance clear, and remember that the lunch crowd arrives as you leave. Street parking in Belle Haven is residential.

Which cars

The group’s invitation covers the Saturday meet too: “Bring Your classic, sports car, truck, motorcycle, hot rod or exotic car.” Its standard is its motto: “If you think it’s cool, I’m sure we will, too!”

How it got here

In 2020 the group’s Saturday meet was at Sherwood Gourmet on Sherwood Hall Lane, on the second and fourth Saturday mornings, per the Old Town Crier. By April 2022 it had moved to The Haven, which is where The Zebra found it. The group itself dates to 2012, when it began meeting at Hollin Hall.

The group’s Meetup calendar listed no December date as of late October 2026. Its Sunday meet has paused for winter in past years, and the Saturday meet may do the same. Check the event page for the date you want before you drive.
