Cars and Coffee Richmond, C&CR to its regulars, is the region’s standing meet and one of the oldest in Virginia. The organizer’s site: “BiWeekly Saturdays - Stony Point Fashion Park (Mall) from 8 - 10am,” at 9200 Stony Point Parkway, Richmond, Virginia 23235. The venue’s own page places the cars “near the main entrance, across from Saks Fifth Avenue.” The organizer’s calendar marks 24 October and 7 November 2026; the venue lists the same dates. Nothing for December had been posted as of late October.

What it costs, and why

Three dollars to show a car. The organizer explained it in its post for the October 2026 event: “we have a $3 entry fee. We are 100% about the $1 that goes to our police officer, the $1 that helps us cover our insurance and the $1 that pays for our rental fee.” Spectators pay nothing. Some listings still say $5, the figure Richmond Magazine reported in 2024; the organizer’s own current post says $3.

The rain rule

The organizer’s site states it as a golden rule: “If you have to cut your windshield wipers on, C&CR is off!” The site also mentions a rain date the following Saturday, while the organizer’s event listings say the call is made the Friday night before. Check the organizer’s Facebook page on a wet Friday.

Where to park

Show cars fill the main lot by the Saks entrance; the organizer asks spectators to park in the overflow lot so the show cars go in first. Its listed rules: no aggressive driving, no revving in the parking lot, park within the marked spaces. Eggspectation and Lyra’s Natural Kitchen sell coffee and breakfast on site, per the venue.

How it started

The organizer counts: “an RVA staple since 2011. This will be our 353rd event!” it wrote in October 2026. Richmond Magazine told the story in 2024: Kenny Holder founded it in 2011 with his cousin Damond Knight and a friend, the first event drew 20 cars, and “Now, more than 100 owners often attend the biweekly meet, and a busy day can include upward of 140.” Style Weekly named it the best place to show off a ride in 2012, when it had outgrown a Starbucks lot on River Road; WTVR marked its tenth year at Regency Mall in 2021. Stony Point is at least its fifth home.

Before you go

Check the organizer’s calendar for the Saturday and its Facebook page on the Friday. Bring $3 in cash if you are showing, park where the organizer puts you, and keep the engine quiet in the lot; the dollar for the police officer is the organizer’s reminder of why.

When is Cars and Coffee Richmond?

Every other Saturday, 8am to 10am, at Stony Point Fashion Park, per the organizer. The next listed date is 7 November 2026.

How much is it?

$3 to show a car, per the organizer’s October 2026 post, split between the police officer, insurance and the lot rental. Spectators are free.

Is it canceled in rain?

Yes. The organizer’s rule: if the wipers have to come on, the meet is off.
