Cars and Coffee Charlottesville is a Facebook group with 6,500 members and one sentence that settles the schedule: “We meet twice a month on the first and third Saturday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Greenberry’s Coffee at Barracks Road Shopping Center.” Greenberry’s lists that store at 1049 Emmet Street North, Charlottesville, Virginia 22903, open from 7am on weekends. The next dates by the group’s pattern are 7 and 21 November 2026.

The rules, in the group’s words

“All makes/models are welcome to join us. Please remember that we are guests/patrons at our meeting sites. Follow common car show etiquette, buy something from our host, and don’t do anything that would screw things up for the rest of us!” That is the whole rulebook, and it is the clearest statement of the arrangement any meet in Virginia has written down.

Where to park

In the Barracks Road lot by Greenberry’s, with one exception the Shenandoah Valley British Car Club passes on to its members: “Please don’t park in the two rows closest to Chopt Salad.” The club publishes an aerial diagram of the lot for first-timers. The shopping center’s tenants open during the meet; park in a marked space and leave the storefronts clear.

Weather

The group posts no weather policy. The British car club lists it as “rain or shine,” and the turnout, by the same club’s count, “ranges from 40 -120+ cars, depending on the weather.” On a wet morning, the group’s page is where a change would appear.

What is not known

The group names no organizer and no founding year, and no local press coverage of the meet was found. It is a group of people and a coffee shop, which is the original form of the thing.

Before you go

Arrive at 8am, park away from Chopt, and buy a coffee from Greenberry’s; the group’s own rule says so. Leave at 10am the way you came.
