The Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering is what the old Scottsdale Cars and Coffee turned into. Scuderia Southwest’s page gives the schedule: “7:00-10:00am on the first Saturday of every month,” at “Market Street at DC Ranch / 20789 N Pima Rd,” and the price: “Free for spectators!” The club’s calendar lists Saturday 7 November 2026, Saturday 5 December 2026 as “December Cars and Coffee and Toy Drive,” and Saturday 2 January 2027, all at 7am.

Members’ cars, public eyes

The club is explicit that this is not a show you enter. Its membership page: “We’re a private car club, not a car show. Our focus is on getting the car people together, not drawing a big crowd of spectators.” Only members’ cars are displayed, and the club caps membership: “We have capped our total membership at 200 and have put a temporary hold on the application process.” Its own page still says “Spectators are welcome to come see the cars.” So: come, look, and bring the coffee; do not expect to park on the row.

How it got here

The club’s home page tells the arc: “After many years as a car events group that put on many events including the well-known and popular Scottsdale Cars and Coffee and Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering, we have converted to a private car club.” Images Arizona traced the numbers in a December 2024 profile: it began in 2001 as a few people meeting for coffee, grew to as many as 800 display cars and 3,500 to 5,000 spectators a month, and became a private membership club in 2019. The club’s membership page gives the reason in dollars: “There were expenses to the event - at one time as much as $2500 per monthly event.”

Where to park

Market Street at DC Ranch is a shopping village off Pima Road north of Thompson Peak Parkway. Spectators park in the village’s own lots and walk. The club publishes no parking instructions; the 7am start and the Saturday-morning shoppers who follow are the instruction.

Before you go

Check the club calendar for the month, since the December date doubles as a toy drive. Arrive for 7am, before the heat in the shoulder months, and treat the cars as a private collection on public view, which is what they are.
