Cars and Coffee Morrisville fills the Imperial Center office park at 5425 Page Road in Durham on the first Saturday of every month, from 8am to 11am. The organizer’s website and its Instagram account give the same day and hours. It is run by Cars and Coffee Morrisville, Inc., which the organizer’s history page says became a 501(c)(4) nonprofit in July 2022.
The organizer bills it as “The Southeast’s Largest Free Car Show” and says in its FAQ that it averages more than 3,000 cars. “All Makes, Models, & Years are welcome,” the site says, and each month has a theme. The events page lists People’s Choice Day for Saturday 7 November 2026, with right-hand-drive vehicles on show and first responders and veterans honored (wear red, the listing asks), and Tuner Car Day, for everything modified, on Saturday 5 December. Both run 8am to 11am.
When to arrive
The posted start is 8am, but that is not when the lot starts filling. An October 2026 post on the meet’s Instagram tells first-timers to arrive between 7am and 7:30am for a good spot, and says that on nice mornings some people are in the lot by 6am. “Things kick off at 8,” the post says.
The meet runs on the first Saturday of every month. The organizer’s FAQ adds one seasonal note: there is usually a good selection of exotics “most months but maybe not in the colder months.”
Where to park
Theme cars park up front, across from Quench 305, and everyone else takes any open spot, according to the same Instagram post. In late October 2026 the organizer announced that from November the FEMA lot, which runs to the right of the main lot toward Slater Road, is open to the meet again after a couple of years blocked off, and posted an updated parking map. Overflow lots on Emperor Boulevard and Slater Road are a short walk, the post adds, and the vendor map is pinned on the MOBLZ page.
The organizer’s history calls the Imperial Center the area’s largest office park and points out that it sits right off I-40. It is private property, and the rules below are the price of staying on it.
Food and coffee
There is no single coffee shop at the center of this meet. The organizer’s FAQ lists about eight food trucks and mobile vendors, plus McDonald’s, Starbucks and Moe’s, which it says normally serves breakfast, and Chelsea Cafe’s mobile grill. Vendors are arranged through MOBLZ, which the history page says the Imperial Center brought in to run food trucks in April 2020. The organizer asks visitors to buy breakfast at the show, because it helps the vendors and the event.
How it started
The first Cars and Coffee Morrisville was held in December 2015 at the Morrisville Outlet Mall on Airport Boulevard, according to the organizer’s history page. It stayed there until a developer bought the property; the last event there was around December 2018. From January to May 2019 the meet moved between two temporary homes, Creekstone Shopping Center on Miami Boulevard and the old Sam’s Club on Shiloh Glenn Drive, and in June 2019 it settled at the Imperial Center. That is why a meet named for Morrisville has a Durham address.
The move brought the police. The history page says the organizer began having Durham police work the event in 2019, and took on yearly sponsors to pay for it. Monthly car themes arrived in January 2022, and in February 2023 the Durham Police Department and Durham Fire Department became sponsors themselves.
Before you go
The rules are the organizer’s own, and they are specific: “No burnouts, drifting, loud music, excessive revving, 2 steps, etc. while at Imperial Center.” The FAQ also says “Durham PD will observe your exit at the show,” and tells drivers not to do anything unsafe, illegal or stupid on the way out. Leave the drone at home: the organizer asks people not to bring them and says it has allowed only a few licensed and insured pilots.
Admission is free and so is showing a car. When there is a featured charity, the organizer suggests a $5 donation to it, and says plainly that it is not required. Kids and dogs are welcome, per the meet’s Instagram.
