Porsche Club of America, Los Angeles Region

PCA-LA, the Porsche Club of America’s Los Angeles Region since 1960, runs a monthly autocross championship at Angel Stadium, Storm Stadium and the Port of LA, plus morning drives, member breakfasts, Taco Tuesday and a December holiday party.

The area PCA-LA covers

The Los Angeles Region calls itself PCA-LA. Its club history page dates the region to 1960, five years after the national club, and describes it as one of PCA’s largest and most active regions. PCA’s region finder returns Los Angeles for ZIP codes in downtown LA, Torrance, Malibu and the San Fernando Valley, and the region’s mailing address is in Santa Monica. The home page frames the territory as three kinds of driving within a morning of downtown: Angeles Crest, the switchbacks of Mulholland and the Pacific Coast Highway, with Willow Springs and Buttonwillow as the nearby tracks.

Autocross

PCA-LA holds an autocross every month as part of a championship series, per its autocross page. Courses are laid out from scratch with cones and rotate among Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Storm Stadium in Lake Elsinore and the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro. A typical event gives each driver twelve laps: two practice sessions of four laps, then four timed laps that count for season points. Courses take 40 to 60 seconds, and volunteers and instructors earn two bonus laps.

Novice Class covers a driver’s first six events, with instructors riding along, and no previous experience is needed. Drivers without a Porsche can enter by buying a PCA Test Drive membership. Every entrant classes the car with the region’s classing tool before competing, brings a helmet that meets PCA’s Snell standard (loaners are limited), and registers on MotorsportReg, where early-bird pricing applies and waitlisted entrants are not charged until confirmed.

Drives and track days

On the road, the calendar carries a morning drive most months, to places such as Lake Castaic, Frazier Park and the San Gabriel foothills, and an annual Full Moon Drive on Angeles Crest Highway at the end of summer. Joint drives run with the Inland Empire and California Inland regions. Day Away From Work track days at Streets of Willow Springs are run with the Grand Prix, Santa Barbara and California Inland regions.

Off the road

A monthly member breakfast moves around the city, with recent ones in Montrose and Torrance, and a monthly social hour has met in Century City. Taco Tuesday rotates restaurants, and tech sessions come with the region’s sponsors. The calendar also carries Ladies and Porsche outings, such as a Singer facility tour co-hosted with PCA-LA, and Cars Under the Stars, a one-night community car show on Larchmont Boulevard that benefits neighborhood beautification. The region runs an F1 fantasy league and a newsletter that its sponsor page describes as semi-monthly.

Dates still ahead on the events page: Taco Tuesday on 10 November 2026 in Santa Monica; the November autocross on 21 November; the member breakfast on 28 November; Holiday High Tea at the Getty on 5 December; the PCA-LA Holiday Party at Mastro’s in Beverly Hills on 13 December, which the listing says often sells out; and Morning Shift, a cars and coffee at PECLA, the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles, on 20 December.

New members

The membership page directs new members to register with PCA at pca.org and choose Los Angeles as the home region when signing up, and it points people without a Porsche to the Test Drive program. It also lists volunteer roles that are a quick way into the club: setup and check-in at events, timing and course work at autocross, and photography or web help. The Porsche Club of America page covers national dues and the application.
