About the Delaware Region
The region’s About page dates the Delaware Region to December 1959; it officially became part of the Porsche Club of America in January 1960 and sits in Zone 2. Its home page publishes member counts, updated 30 August 2026: 338 primary members, 190 co-members, 178 digital members and 12 PCA Juniors. Members drive everything from sports cars to SUVs and electric models, per the home page. The PCA region finder returns Delaware for Wilmington.
Monthly meetings
The About page describes monthly meetings that move around the area: a review of recent events, sometimes a speaker, news of what is coming, and socializing inside and out in the parking lot, “where you will find the largest collection of Porsches in Delaware.” In 2026 they were weekday dinners at places such as Mad Macs on South College Avenue in Newark and Six Paupers Tavern in Hockessin, starting at 6pm or 6:30pm, with registration on MotorsportReg a couple of days ahead so the restaurant has a headcount. The November meeting is where members elect the next year’s officers.
Downstate and on the road
Southern members have their own regular. Cars at the Ferry is a casual drive-in at the Lewes-Cape May Ferry Terminal, 41 Cape Henlopen Drive, posted on the region’s calendar for Tuesday evenings from 5pm to 6pm through the 2026 season, with no sign-up. The region posts each date individually and names a southern events contact for questions.
The join page describes fun runs through the tri-state countryside with stops for coffee and lunch, and recent drives have used two meeting points, one in Middletown and one at McQueen Classics in Lewes, to reach places such as Salted Vines Vineyard in Frankford and Sambo’s Tavern in Leipsic.
The year
The About page names the highlights as the annual picnic and concours, the holiday party and the monthly meetings. The 2026 holiday party is on 12 December at Hartefeld National Golf Club in Avondale, Pennsylvania, from 3pm to 7pm, semi-formal, with registration on MotorsportReg closing 2 December. Sponsor open houses fill in between, and the region has partnered with a Felton Rotary club’s car show to reserve parking for members.
The region no longer runs its own track days. Its NJMP Thunderbolt page records that the Delaware high performance driver education program at New Jersey Motorsports Park ended with the October 2024 event, after more than 15 years. Its calendar now points members to autocrosses run by the neighboring Chesapeake Region at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland.
New members
The home page directs new members to join PCA and select the Delaware Region as the preference, and the join page calls the monthly socials “a great way to break the ice.” The About page invites anyone who owns a Porsche, or is thinking about one, to visit a meeting. National dues are on the Porsche Club of America page.
