What the chapter covers
The Houston Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America serves greater Houston, from the Heights and Missouri City to The Woodlands and Clear Lake, with drives that reach College Station and the Gulf. Its mission page welcomes “folks and their BMWs of all shapes and sizes,” people who still dream of owning one, and MINI and Rolls-Royce owners, since BMW owns both brands.
The mission page lays out the program: monthly coffee meetings at different local venues, autocross at the Houston Police Academy, day and weekend drives, tech sessions and fundraisers for local charities. For track driving schools it points members to larger neighboring chapters.
Cars and coffee that moves
The monthly cars and coffee changes venue. The 2026 calendar has taken it to Freddy’s Cafe, Summer Moon Coffee in Missouri City, Ogi Coffee, Gelato & Bakeshop, and Sycamore Coffee Co., and the December 12, 2026 meet is at Cedar Creek Bar & Grill, 1034 West 20th Street in the Heights, from 9am to 11am. The listings invite you to introduce yourself to new and prospective members over breakfast.
The chapter also joins the larger Ultimate BMW Coffee and Cars mornings at local dealers, run with the Coffee and Cars group, at Momentum BMW and BMW Woodlands. Wash, Wax & Tech sessions at Momentum BMW pair a car wash with technical know-how; one is set for November 8, 2026, 8am to 1pm.
Drives with a purpose
The chapter calls its Annual Bluebonnet Drive a “signature club event.” The April route leaves Buc-ee’s on US 290 in Waller and runs 98 miles, about three hours at the wheel, by way of Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site, Chappell Hill Lavender Farm and Old Baylor Park outside Brenham, finishing at BMW of College Station.
Charity runs close the year. The calendar lists a drive to BMW of College Station on November 14, 2026, for the Brazos Valley Food Bank’s Thanksgiving food drive, and a toy drive for children of first responders at Momentum BMW on December 5, 2026. Its summer calendar has included a Gulf run, from Buc-ee’s in Waller to lunch in Surfside Beach.
Houston works with its neighbors. It co-hosts the Texas Roundel Roundup, a statewide BMW weekend, with the Tejas and Lone Star chapters; its second edition was held in Fredericksburg. It also shares events with the BMW Club of Houston and the area’s other German car clubs, including a recurring bowling tournament.
Meeting the chapter
The chapter’s annual meeting is a lunch, held most recently at Lyndon’s Pit BBQ, 5320 Hollister Street in northwest Houston, where the board reviews the chapter’s health and hands over to the new officers. The mission page’s advice to newcomers is to stop by a meeting or attend an event before anything else. Dues and the national form are on the club’s main page.
