What the chapter covers
The Everglades Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America is one of three BMW CCA chapters in Florida. Its About page traces the territory as a drive south from Indian River County: through Vero Beach, Port St. Lucie, Stuart, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami to the Keys. At its northern end the chapter reaches across the state around the north and west sides of Lake Okeechobee to the Everglades themselves.
Its borders blend with the other two Florida chapters, Florida Suncoast to the west and Sunshine Bimmers to the north. The About page counts 1,277 members, 269 associate members and 26 life members; the page carries no date. The chapter’s mailing address in the national directory is in Pompano Beach.
What it runs
Two standing meets anchor the calendar. Cars and coffee is on the second Sunday of the month, 8:30am to 10:30am, at Xtreme Action Park, 5300 Powerline Road in Fort Lauderdale. An evening social meets at Duffy’s Sports Grill, 4800 West Hillsboro Boulevard in Coconut Creek.
The social’s day is worth checking before you go. The About page lists it on the third Tuesday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, but the 2026 listings on the events page fell on Wednesdays, April 15 and May 20. As of November 1, 2026, the events page shows nothing scheduled after May, and the About page tells members to watch the events page and the chapter’s Facebook posts for new dates.
The chapter runs Tire Rack Street Survival for permitted or licensed drivers aged 15 to 21. Its newsletter, the Flasher, is quarterly; the site’s archive runs from 2014 through the first quarter of 2022, the latest issue posted. The site also keeps classifieds, photo galleries and the chapter bylaws.
Which chapter you land in
Per the About page, assignment to a chapter follows ZIP code, but a member can choose which chapter to belong to, which matters for anyone living near the Suncoast or Sunshine Bimmers borders. A BMW is not required, only “a passion for the marque.” The About page still quotes older dues; the national club’s page has the current figures and the join form.
Is there a BMW cars and coffee in Fort Lauderdale?
Yes. The Everglades Chapter’s cars and coffee is on the second Sunday of the month, 8:30am to 10:30am, at Xtreme Action Park on Powerline Road.
When is the Everglades Chapter social at Duffy’s in Coconut Creek?
The About page says the third Tuesday at 7:30pm, while the chapter’s 2026 listings put it on the third Wednesday. Check the events page or Facebook before going.
What area does the Everglades Chapter cover?
South Florida from Indian River County and Vero Beach through West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami to the Keys, plus the country around the north and west of Lake Okeechobee.
Can I choose the Everglades Chapter if my ZIP code puts me elsewhere?
Yes. The About page says ZIP code sets the default chapter but the member has a choice of chapter location.
