The MOONEYES Christmas Party is the Southern California hot rod year’s last word. The organizer’s 2026 page sets the day: Saturday 12 December at the Pomona Fairplex and the In-N-Out Burger Drag Strip, “Rain or shine.” The show-car gate opens at 5am; the stage runs 9am to 3:30pm and the strip 9:30am to 3pm. General admission enters at Gate 17 on McKinley Avenue; show cars enter at Gate 15 off Arrow Highway.
What it costs
The organizer’s list: “General Admission: $35.00 per person (adult) / Children, 12 years and under are free. / General Parking: $21.00 per vehicle / Show Cars: $60.00 per vehicle / Race: $150.00.”
Showing a car
Pre-entry only, and old only: show cars must be 1972 or older, with the organizer’s “ENTRY DEADLINE: SATURDAY, November 22, 2026.” Street Muscle’s advice from an earlier year still holds: “By 7:30a.m., show car parking is usually full.”
The rules
In the organizer’s capitals: “NO COLORS. NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL. NO BBQ.” The drag racing moved to Pomona after Irwindale Speedway closed at the end of 2024.
When is the MOONEYES Christmas Party 2026?

How much is it?
$35 for adults, children 12 and under free, parking $21 per car. Show cars are $60 by pre-entry and must be 1972 or older.
