Grand Terrace Cars & Coffee meets on the third Saturday of every month from 8am to 10am in the Walgreens parking lot at 22470 Barton Road, Grand Terrace. The group’s Facebook page gives exactly that, with two words in brackets: weather permitting.

The coordinator is Johan Gallo. City News Group, the local paper, described the meet in July 2025 as organized monthly by Gallo and William “Chuck” Cecil and open to all, whether you are showing a car or just enjoying the morning.

When to arrive

The meet runs two hours, 8am to 10am, on the third Saturday. The organizer publishes no early-arrival advice. It does post a short report after most meets: on 17 October 2026 it counted 34 vehicles, a lighter morning it put down to “many competing events,” and on 19 September 42 vehicles.

Weather permitting is the organizer’s own rule, so on a wet or windy third Saturday check the Facebook page before the drive.

The lot

The meet uses the Walgreens parking lot on Barton Road. City News Group reported in August 2024 that the group had moved there from the Bank of America lot nearby, with more room for vendors, cars and visitors. This is a working pharmacy lot, so park in marked spaces and keep the store entrance and drive-through lanes clear.

How it started

The group marked its eighth anniversary on 21 February 2026. City News Group reported that 55 vehicles came that morning, and that Daryl Bruhl, Rob Burleson and Guy Portillo were three of the original seven members from 2018. Bruhl, the paper said, is the one who always makes the coffee.

The meet has grown into a community group. The same article lists toy drive cruises, Veterans Day and Community Day events, and work on a San Bernardino County Sheriff substation, and credits the Grand Terrace Lions Club with securing insurance for the gatherings. “We have an excellent group of people with heart and a willingness to give back,” Gallo told the paper.

Before you go

The organizer publishes no written rules. A pharmacy lot on a busy road is a generous host: arrive quietly, skip the revving and burnouts, and pull out onto Barton Road at walking pace.
