Cars, Kids and Coffee is a monthly morning meet in the parking lot of The Cobra Experience, a nonprofit Shelby museum at 777 Arnold Drive in Martinez. The museum’s event page states the plan: “Every 3rd Sunday from 8:30 to 10:30, March through November.” Its stated goal is “getting the next generation involved and excited about cars of any kind.”
The next meet is Sunday, November 15, 2026. It is the last of the 2026 season.
When to arrive
The meet starts at 8:30am. The museum’s own pages disagree on the finish: the event text says 8:30am to 10:30am, while the calendar entry for November 15 runs from 8:30am to 10am. The museum itself opens to the public at 10am.
There is a winter break. The museum says: “We take the winter months of December, January, and February off.” The 2027 season starts in March on the same third-Sunday rule; check the museum’s calendar for the first date.
The museum
Third Sunday is also the museum’s open day. Its visit page gives the hours as 10am to 3pm, with docent tours and an 18-minute film. The event page notes that regular pricing and reservations apply once the museum opens; no pre-purchase is needed for a third-Sunday visit. Military, veterans and first responders pay $5 with ID, per the museum.
Where to park
The museum says it sits off Highway 4, between Morello Avenue and Center Avenue on Arnold Drive, in the building at the back behind 737 and 757 Arnold Drive. Look for signs at the driveway entrance. The museum’s FAQ says there is plenty of parking.
Before you go
The museum publishes no meet rules beyond “Any year, make or model!” The name says who it is for, so expect children in the lot. Drive in slowly and keep engines quiet.
What time does Cars, Kids and Coffee start?
It starts at 8:30am. The museum’s event text says it runs to 10:30am, and its November 15 calendar entry says 10am.
