Caffeine and Octane Jacksonville, The Avenues

Caffeine and Octane Jacksonville is a monthly morning car show held in the parking lot of The Avenues mall on Southside Boulevard. Its Facebook page gives the schedule as the second Saturday of each month, 7:30am to 10:30am. The organizer’s events calendar of 21 October sets the next one for Saturday 14 November 2026, on the Southside Boulevard side of the mall.

The show is run by Jacksonville Car Culture in partnership with Caffeine and Octane, the Kennesaw, Georgia, company behind the Atlanta show of the same name. Caffeine and Octane’s own page describes it as the relaunch of Jacksonville Cars and Coffee, which it calls North Florida’s most popular monthly automotive event.

When to arrive

The Facebook page and every Eventbrite date from April 2026 on give 7:30am to 10:30am. Caffeine and Octane’s website still says 8am to 11am, the hours the Eventbrite dates used from October 2025 to March 2026. Plan on 7:30am.

The second-Saturday rule has had exceptions. The Eventbrite dates for February and March 2026 fell on the first Saturday, and the Eventbrite series still lists Saturday 7 November 2026. The organizer’s Facebook page and its 21 October calendar both point to 14 November, which fits the stated rule. Check the Facebook page in the week of the show.

The organizer’s Instagram bio says the show runs rain or shine. Before the October 2026 show, with rain and wind in the forecast, the organizer posted that “rather than cancel” it would gather from 7:30am to 10:30am “without all the banners and gates,” a pared-back version it called Caffeine and Octane Jacksonville LITE.

The lot

The Avenues is at 10300 Southside Blvd. The organizer’s calendar places the show on the Southside Boulevard side of the mall, and its posts send drivers to the Central lot.

The organizer publishes two parking rules. Cars parked in the Central Lot Features area must stay in place until the show ends. If you cannot stay that long, park in the exhibit lot instead. It also asks everyone to listen to the volunteer staff.

How it started

WJCT News reported in June 2021 that Jacksonville Cars and Coffee was started by Malcolm Hogan in 2007 and later handed to Chris Brewer. It moved several times, with earlier homes at the Markets at Town Center and at 1 Riverside Ave., the former Florida Times-Union building. It relaunched at The Avenues on 10 July 2021 as the first Caffeine and Octane Jacksonville.

Admission is free: the organizer’s Eventbrite listing is a free registration. The Instagram bio says “All makes, All models.” Sponsors the organizer has thanked on Facebook in 2026 include Duval Ford and the Tom Bush Family of Dealerships, which it calls its founding sponsor.

Beyond the parking rules, the organizer publishes no code of conduct on the pages read for this guide. It is a shopping mall lot, so arrive and leave at walking pace and take your cups and wrappers with you.
