Orange County’s region since 1961

The Orange Coast Region, PCA-OCR, dates itself to 1961 and calls itself Orange County’s Porsche community. Its home page counts more than 2,800 members and more than 100 events a year, all run by volunteers. PCA’s region finder returns Orange Coast for zip codes in Irvine, Newport Beach and Mission Viejo, and the region’s mail goes to a post office box in Huntington Beach.

A month on the calendar

Breakfast Club anchors the month. Members meet on the first Saturday at the Elks Lodge in Santa Ana at 8am, and the board meeting is held at the same breakfast. The calendar shows no meeting in January.

Thursday evenings carry the dinners. Porsches and Par-Tee meets at The Gallery restaurant at Anaheim Hills Golf Course, 6501 E Nohl Ranch Road, from 6:30pm on a second Thursday, and the calendar also lists BurgerBahn at the Wet Dog Tavern as a second Thursday dinner, with cars gathering in the lot around 6pm. On the third Thursday, Porsches and Pizza runs at three places at once: Blaze Pizza in San Clemente, Mod Pizza on Yorktown Avenue in Huntington Beach and Wise Guys on East Chapman Avenue in Orange, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Family and friends are welcome.

Saturdays add two more. Porsches and Pastries is the third Saturday coffee morning at Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, 17243 17th Street in Tustin, where members build a Porsche corral from about 7am to 8:30am. Porsches and Pancakes on the fourth Saturday is a sit-down breakfast with arrival around 8am, held at Dick Church’s Restaurant and, on other months, Woody’s Diner.

Tours, golf and the year’s fixed points

The tour group runs drives and overnight trips through the year, and the calendar lists an Anza Borrego tour on 23 January 2027. The OCR Golf Series, sponsored by Cape Auto Porsche Service, plays nine holes at Oso Creek Golf Course in Mission Viejo and is open to players of every level.

The About Us page names the Annual White Glove Concours as the region’s main event of the year. Around it sit an annual banquet, a Hearts and Garages tour and progressive dinner for the club charity, autocross, DE and time trials. December is for giving: the holiday dinner and annual meeting carries a silent auction for Semper Fi, and the region runs a toy drive with the Marine Corps. The calendar puts the 2026 holiday dinner at the American Legion on 6 December, marked as the region’s 65th anniversary, and the USMC toy drive on 12 December.

Members also get the Pando, the region’s own monthly magazine. The home page reports that it has been named PCA’s best regional magazine among 145 regions, and its archive runs through the November 2026 issue.

New members

The New Member Picnic each September, at William R. Mason Park, is the region’s welcome. Members who joined within the past year eat free with their immediate family after an RSVP, and longer-standing members pay $10 a head. After that, the home page says, members can attend as many events as they wish. Joining itself happens at pca.org through the region’s Join PCA Now link, and dues and the national sign-up are covered on the Porsche Club of America page.
