BMW Car Club of America, Sacramento Valley Chapter

The Sacramento Valley Chapter is the BMW CCA chapter for the Sacramento area, with about 475 members. It runs Bimmers and Brews nights at local breweries, cars and coffee with area shops, and backroads tours to Napa, the Delta and the Sierra foothills.

What the chapter covers

The Sacramento Valley Chapter calls itself the official Northern California chapter of the BMW Car Club of America. Its About page puts membership at about 475 and says the chapter answers to the national board, the Pacific Region vice president and its own four-member board. The club’s directory lists its mailing address in Sacramento.

Bimmers and Brews

The chapter’s standing social is Bimmers and Brews: a Thursday evening, 6pm to 8pm, at a different brewery or beer garden each month of its season, where members eat, compare cars and hear what the club is planning. The 2026 run moved around the region, from Out of Bounds Craft Kitchen and Biergarten in Folsom to Blue Note Brewing in Woodland, Dust Bowl Brewing in Elk Grove and Kathrin’s Biergarten in Rocklin, which the chapter billed as the year’s last.

Drives

Backroads tours are the core of the calendar. The chapter calls its drive from Sacramento to V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena one of its more popular, open to all club members; the next one is listed for Sunday, November 8, 9am to 1pm. Its annual Delta Drive and Lunch, in August, gathers on Florin Road in Sacramento and follows the Sacramento River to Antioch.

The chapter and the M Chapter have teamed up for a Halloween tour of the Sierra Nevada foothills, with prizes for the best costume and decorated car and lunch at the historic Murphys Hotel. Summer has taken members up to Tahoe City, and the calendar also lists tours run by the neighboring Golden Gate Chapter, including its Monterey Car Week drive.

Cars and coffee, tech nights and charity

Shop hosts give the chapter its tech side. CA Tuned has hosted a cars and coffee and tech session, Speedline Garage and Vivid Auto Details have hosted a morning cars and coffee at their Elk Grove shops, and HMB Motorwerks on Reese Road in Sacramento hosts Friday Night Flicks, an evening with refreshments and a racing or car film featuring a BMW.

The chapter shows members’ cars at charity events, such as a Cars and Coffee for a Cause at North Natomas Regional Park in support of prostate cancer education. Its calendar also carries other groups’ events members attend, including Dreams and Drivers cars and coffee, Capital City Cars and Coffee and Sacramento SCCA autocross at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows. The site keeps a Flickr photo archive, a chapter store, board minutes and its bylaws.

The About page says chapter membership depends on joining the national club and invites questions through the chapter’s contact form. The BMW CCA page covers national dues and how to sign up, and other Sacramento meets are in the Sacramento cars and coffee guide.
