What the chapter covers
The Peachtree Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America is based in metro Atlanta, with a mailing address in Roswell, Georgia. Its home page welcomes drivers of any BMW, “Whether you’re driving your first Bimmer, or your thirtieth,” and names Global Imports BMW in Atlanta as its title sponsor, with discounts for club members.
Autocross at Atlanta Motor Speedway
The chapter’s autocross venue is the largest paved parking lot at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Courses are usually over a mile long and change at every event, so nobody sees the layout before arriving. BMWs and other makes both run, in separate BMW and non-BMW classes, and the top three in each class take a trophy at the end of the season. The 2026 season ran seven rounds from March to October, almost all on Sundays.
Registration goes through the chapter’s MotorsportReg page and nowhere else. It closes the night before, and there is no walk-up entry. Drivers need a full, unexpired license, with no minimum age; anyone under 18 needs a minor waiver signed by a guardian. Spectators are welcome but sign the same waiver as drivers. The autocross page is candid about the site: no climate-controlled building, a portable toilet for a restroom, and usually no food for sale, though the chapter supplies free drinking water.
Driving schools at Road Atlanta
Peachtree has run HPDE driving schools for more than 20 years, per its HPDE page. A school normally gives each student four track sessions a day of about 25 minutes, with an instructor in the car, and the chapter tries to match students with an instructor who knows their kind of car, front-wheel drive included. Classroom sessions are mandatory and held in an air-conditioned classroom at Road Atlanta.
A street car is fine for a first school. Helmets must be Snell 2015 or newer. Soft-top convertibles need a roll cage, harnesses and arm restraints, and convertibles with hardtops, folding hardtops included, are not allowed. The chapter’s MotorsportReg calendar lists its Fall 2026 Driving School at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Braselton, November 13 to 15.
Petit Le Mans and Street Survival
Each fall the chapter runs the BMW corral at Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Its corral schedule has included a Friday evening hospitality party, a Saturday brunch and Friday parade laps for corral participants, with a mandatory morning meeting before the laps.
The chapter also hosts Tire Rack Street Survival schools for licensed or permitted drivers aged 16 to 21, in their own cars. The day mixes about two hours of classroom with a wet skid pad, emergency lane changes, ABS braking and a slalom. Registration is $95 per person, per the chapter’s Street Survival page.
Meeting the chapter
The chapter’s About page, parts of which date from 2018, lists a cars and coffee meet and greet on the third Sunday of each month at North Point Mall in Alpharetta, off Mansell Road next to Barnes & Noble, as the place to meet members and learn about the club. The home page also links a Facebook group and an email newsletter sign-up. Other standing meets around the city are in the Atlanta cars and coffee guide.
Choosing Peachtree on the national form has one practical payoff: student registration for its driving schools opens a week early for Peachtree members, who may be asked for proof of membership. National dues and the form itself are on the BMW CCA page.
Is there a BMW club in Atlanta?
Yes. The Peachtree Chapter is the BMW CCA chapter for metro Atlanta, with a mailing address in Roswell. It runs autocross, HPDE schools, Street Survival and a Petit Le Mans corral.
Where does the Peachtree Chapter autocross?
On the largest paved lot at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Entry is only through the chapter’s MotorsportReg page, which closes the night before, with no walk-up registration.
Can non-BMWs run in Peachtree autocross?
Yes. BMWs and non-BMWs both run, in separate BMW and non-BMW classes.
Where does the Peachtree Chapter hold HPDE?
At Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, where its classroom sessions are held too. The chapter’s MotorsportReg calendar lists a Fall 2026 Driving School there, November 13 to 15.
Is there a BMW cars and coffee in Alpharetta?
The chapter’s About page lists a third-Sunday cars and coffee at North Point Mall, off Mansell Road next to Barnes & Noble. Parts of that page date from 2018, so check the chapter’s Facebook group before driving over.
