BMW Car Club of America, National Capital Chapter

The National Capital Chapter is the BMW CCA chapter for Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia. It runs monthly socials in Fairfax, Woodstock, Gaithersburg and Annapolis, Hunt Valley cars and coffee, the Pie Run, and Summit Point autocross and HPDE.

What the chapter covers

The National Capital Chapter (NCC) of the BMW Car Club of America serves Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia, with events from Hunt Valley in Baltimore County to Fairfax, Annapolis and the West Virginia track at Summit Point. Its mailing address in the national directory is in Arlington. The chapter’s socials page calls NCC “the most active and diverse chapter in CCA.”

A social for every county

NCC runs a standing social in each corner of its region, each starting at 6pm. The Northern Virginia social meets on the first Wednesday of every month at Andy’s Pizza, 10408 Fairfax Boulevard in Fairfax, with members parking together in the adjacent lot. The Howard County social is on the second Thursday at Oscar’s Alehouse in Woodstock, Maryland, and the Montgomery County social on the third Thursday at Dogfish Head Alehouse on West Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg.

The Annapolis social meets at Glory Days Grill, 3 Lee Airpark Drive in Edgewater: cars in the lot from 6pm, then food in the private room at 7pm. The socials page gives it the fourth Thursday, but the late-2026 calendar puts it on November 19 and December 17, so check the date before driving over.

Winter adds Saturday socials at 11am, expanded cars and coffee mornings followed by food, with some appetizers paid for by the club. They alternate between Frisco Columbia and The Reckless Shepherd Brewery in Columbia and Charley Chesapeake Chophouse in Gaithersburg from December through March.

For cars and coffee, NCC and the M Chapter meet at Hunt Valley Horsepower Cars & Coffee on the second Saturday of each month, with coned-off, BMW-only parking for the first 40 cars in front of Iron Rooster. The November 14, 2026 meet is the last of the year.

Tours, autocross and track

The tour season ends with the annual Pie Run, which reaches its 31st edition on November 21, 2026. Cars gather at 8:30am at Catoctin Mountain Orchard in Thurmont, Maryland, and leave at 9:30am for a drive through the last of the fall colors. The orchard opens at 9am and takes no pre-orders, so the chapter suggests bringing a cooler for frozen pies.

Autocross has its own site, nccautocross.com, and its own committee; Points Event #6 of the 2026 series is at Summit Point on November 8. NCC also runs HPDE weekends on Summit Point’s Main Circuit, an M Club Day at the BMW Performance Center, karting, do-it-yourself tech sessions, Tire Rack Street Survival and a car corral at the IMSA weekend at VIRginia International Raceway.

The chapter’s magazine, der Bayerische, comes out every two months and runs a reader feature called “The Many Cars of NCC.” All four officer posts, president, vice president, treasurer and secretary, are elected every year.

For new members

NCC runs its own welcome. The 2027 calendar lists a New Member Orientation and DIY day at Passport BMW in Camp Springs, Maryland, on April 10, 2027, and the NoVA social’s listing welcomes longtime members, new members and anyone looking to meet fellow enthusiasts. For dues and the national form, the BMW CCA page has both.
