Audrain Newport Concours and Motor Week 2026

Audrain Newport Concours and Motor Week returns to Newport, Rhode Island, from Thursday 1 October to Sunday 4 October 2026. The week builds to two concours on the lawn at Fort Adams State Park: the first Audrain Supercar and Hypercar Concours on Saturday, and the Audrain Newport Concours d’Elegance on Sunday. Around them run car displays, seminars, parties and an auction across some of Newport’s best-known addresses, and the organizer’s schedule adds members’ events on Wednesday 30 September.

The week was established in 2019. The 2020 edition was postponed to 2021, and the organizer describes 2026 as the concours’s seventh year.

Sunday: the Concours d’Elegance

The Audrain Newport Concours d’Elegance, presented by A. Lange & Söhne, takes place on Sunday 4 October at Fort Adams State Park, 80 Fort Adams Drive. General admission tickets give access to the field from 8:30am to 3:30pm, although the organizer’s schedule lists the day running until 4pm. VIP tickets open the gate at 6:30am with Coffee at the Concours.

The organizer’s concours page expects more than 180 cars, in classes spanning early 1900 to 1980. The 2026 classes include a Pegaso central feature, a Stout Scarab display, the Chrysler Imperial for its centennial, Jaguar C and D Types for Jaguar’s Le Mans wins, the Lamborghini Miura at 60, prewar Mercedes-Benz for the centenary of the two companies, and the Chevrolet Camaro at 60. Alongside them run classes for Bugatti, Ferrari race cars, Rolls-Royce Phantoms, vintage Bentleys, Cadillac and three Thirty Under 30 groups.

Judging follows what the organizer calls a variation on French judging, looking at how each car speaks to Newport’s own “History, Luxury & Sport.” First-in-class winners go on to compete for the Willie K. Vanderbilt Trophy, and one car takes Best in Show, a trophy made by the sculptor Brian Life. The organizer’s dress code for the day is “Newport Chic, Blazer Preferred.”

The concours has changed lawns. The organizer’s own winners pages place the 2022, 2023 and 2025 concours at The Breakers, and the 2026 edition is at Fort Adams.

Saturday: supercars get a concours of their own

Saturday 3 October brings the inaugural Audrain Supercar and Hypercar Concours, also at Fort Adams, from 10am to 3pm. Cars from the birth of the genre in the late 1960s to the present day are eligible, hybrid and fully electric cars included, from marques that run from Aston Martin and Bugatti to Koenigsegg, Pagani and Rimac. Classes are grouped by era, from the early supercars of the 1960s and 1970s through to new cars for 2026, with a separate class for hybrids and electric cars.

The morning starts earlier and costs nothing. Cars and Coffee runs at Fort Adams from 7:30am to 9:30am, and the organizer says it is free to the public and the most attended event of the week, with more than 1,000 cars and nearly 5,000 people in past years. The Tour d’Elegance runs from Second Beach to the Audrain Automobile Museum between 8am and 11am, and the Bellevue Car Display follows from 11am to 1:30pm, with Bellevue Avenue closed to traffic while it is on.

Thursday and Friday

Thursday 1 October opens with the Audrain Hat Luncheon at Rough Point from 11am and Wine by the Water at Forty 1° North from 2pm. The Supercar Tour leaves Fort Adams at 2pm and follows Aquidneck Island’s back roads to Little Compton and back, and the preview for Friday’s auction opens at the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Friday 2 October is the day for The Gathering, a lawn party with cars on the grounds of Doris Duke’s Rough Point estate, from 11am to 4pm. Rough Point has no parking of its own, and shuttles run from the Audrain Automobile Museum and from Brenton Point. A seminar with Jay Leno and Rod Emory on the future of the Emory Outlaw starts at 2:30pm, and at 4pm Broad Arrow holds its first auction in the Northeast at the International Tennis Hall of Fame: about 65 collector cars, led by a 1970 Ferrari Dino 246 GT estimated at $450,000 to $500,000. The organizer’s dress code for The Gathering is “Elegant Lawn Party.”

Those prices include fees, as the organizer’s ticketing site listed them on 14 September 2026. The All-Inclusive pass covers both concours as general admission, The Gathering, Wine by the Water, the Hilltop Hangout, museum admission for the week and three seminars. Children 12 and younger do not need a general admission ticket when they are with a ticketed adult, but every guest aged 3 or older needs a ticket for VIP areas. All ticket sales are final.

Getting there

Parking in the organizer’s lots is free for Motor Week guests, first come, first served: Easton’s Beach at 175 Memorial Boulevard on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Brenton Point State Park on Friday, and Fort Adams itself from 7am on Saturday and from 5am on Sunday. Trolley loops connect the harbor parking entrance, Easton’s Beach, the museum, Rough Point and Fort Adams through the week. On Saturday and Sunday a ferry runs to Fort Adams from Jamestown, Ann Street Pier and Perrotti Park, and the organizer’s discount code for it is AUDRAIN26.

Motor Week 2024, from the lawn

On the Thursday evening, during the invitation-only VIP welcome reception at Faxon Lodge, a Bugatti Chiron and a black Ferrari Enzo sat on the lawn as the sun went down. On Friday morning, The Gathering filled the grounds of Rough Point with cars from a Plymouth Superbird to a Ford GTX1.

That year’s Best in Show went to Jim Utaski’s silver 1959 Maserati 3500 GT, according to the Providence Journal.
