The area First Settlers covers
The First Settlers Region’s home page places it in southeastern Virginia, stretching from the Atlantic shore in Virginia Beach west until just past Richmond, north to Fredericksburg and up the Eastern Shore. It is one of ten regions in PCA’s Zone 2, which covers the Mid-Atlantic. The region marks 67 years in 2026, and its membership page puts membership past 1,500, with members ranging from students to retirees.
Monthly breakfasts and meets
Most of the calendar is standing meetups spread across that map. None needs registration.
Williamsburg: first Saturday at Sandy’s Pancake and Waffle House, 6495 Richmond Road in Lightfoot. Chesapeake: second Saturday at Pop’s Diner Co., 1432 Greenbrier Parkway. Richmond: second Saturday in the parking lot of Joe’s Inn Bon Air, 2616 Buford Road. The breakfast listings give 9am to 11am and ask people to arrive about 30 minutes early to talk cars in the lot, though some individual dates, including November 2026 in Chesapeake and Richmond, show 8:30am to 10am, so check the date before going.
At the northern end, the Metro Meet runs on the second Saturday from 3pm to 5pm at Metro Diner, 2068 Plank Road in Fredericksburg, next to I-95. The listing asks people to park around back and find the group there first, and notes that members of neighboring regions often stop in. In the south, Rennsport Rendezvous is a cars and coffee on the last Saturday from 2pm to 4pm at 1500 Bridgeport Way in Suffolk.
The region’s free smartphone app carries the full calendar with registration links, and its newsletter is Horizontally Opposed.
The Air and Auto Classic
The region’s public charity show grew out of member Sam Gassel’s Pine Ridge Car Show, held in a Virginia Beach neighborhood park until it outgrew the site. In 2010 members moved it, with club support, to the Military Aviation Museum at 1341 Princess Anne Road, and renamed it for the setting. Admission includes museum entry, and the show takes all makes, from vintage cars and rat rods to race cars and motorcycles. Over its run it has drawn more than 3,000 spectator vehicles and more than 1,350 judged entries and raised more than $123,000 for charity, per the event page. The 2026 show was held in October.
Track
The drivers’ education page names a DE committee with co-chief track instructors and a DE registrar, and posts PCA’s minimum standards for high performance driver education. It does not list the tracks the region uses; the app calendar carries event registration.
Membership and reciprocal membership
PCA assigns each member to a region by primary address, the reciprocal membership page explains. Members of another region who want First Settlers events, newsletters, its Facebook group and app as well can take a reciprocal membership at $20 a year, by check, without leaving their home region; the neighboring Shenandoah Region offers the same. The membership page also asks members to keep their PCA profile current, since incomplete information affects the club’s ability to reach them. The PCA page covers national dues and joining.
Is there a Porsche club in Richmond or Hampton Roads?
Yes. The Porsche Club of America’s region finder returns the First Settlers Region for central Richmond and for Norfolk, and the region covers Virginia Beach to just past Richmond.
When is the Porsche breakfast in Williamsburg?
On the first Saturday of each month at Sandy’s Pancake and Waffle House in Lightfoot, listed for 9am to 11am with members gathering in the lot about 30 minutes early.
Is there a PCA meet in Fredericksburg?
Yes. The Metro Meet runs on the second Saturday from 3pm to 5pm at Metro Diner on Plank Road, next to I-95. Park around back.
Do I need to register for the First Settlers breakfasts?
No. The calendar lists the breakfasts, the Metro Meet and Rennsport Rendezvous as needing no registration.
What is a reciprocal membership?
It lets a PCA member stay in a home region and also belong to First Settlers, with its newsletter, events and app. The region’s page lists annual dues of $20, by check.
